PGF Softball Camps

Thank you for visiting our camp page, as we are all aware, we are experiencing an unprecedented time. At PGF, we are also patiently waiting for a return to normalcy, which include a safe environment to conduct tournaments, games, and camps.

We are monitoring all levels of state and local government in relation to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are optimistic that events will open up not just in the area of Orange County but Nationally.

Here is an update on the situation regarding our PGF Sanctioned Summer Camps that we facilitate in Orange Co. CA during the summer months.

As of late May, the June 5th and July 10ts camps have been cancelled.  These cancelations are due to the NCAA decision to extend the “Dead Period”, which this extensions, D1 & D2 college coaches are unable to participate or attend.  The Aug. 2nd PGF National Championship Camp is still planned to occur.

Registration is now open for this event.  Make sure you completely read all information on each page of this web site and the registration page.

Registration does not complete the process and does not hold a spot for you in the camp.  Your registration is not complete until full payment is submitted.

We have a commitment from college coaches from across the country to participate in our highly successful camps. PGF Camps give our participants the greatest opportunity to work directly with the top college coaches in the country in a “On the field” environment.

At PGF, we will make sure that we comply with every safety protocol to insure the safest environment to all campers, coaches, and fans.

We encourage you to follow all of our Social Media pages to keep you informed on a regular basis.

Welcome to our PGF Camp homepage. In 2020, we are again hosting our highly successful and popular camps. Please read all information on the home, registration page, FAQ and cancellation policy prior to completing the camp registration.

Our camp date is scheduled on Sunday, Aug. 2nd in Irvine (PGF National Championships) from 10:00am to 2:15pm (these times are tentative and will be confirmed prior to the opening of registration) Our camps are fully NCAA compliant and run by college coaches only.

Our camps use college coaches from the top D1 programs, mid majors, D2, D3 and NAIA programs to give players opportunity to expose their talents to many programs, each camp is operated by 4 individual coaches from 4 different programs, the coaches then change fields so the players are then able to work with a new set of coaches. Players get to work directly with 8 different coaches from the colleges listed.  Each field has no more than 30 players in attendance and we use multiple fields so that each field is run independent of the others.

Our camps are also heavily attended by college coaches who are able to watch the players and observe from “field to field”.

Our Aug. 2nd camp can accept up to 210 players (7 different fields) no more than 30 players per field. Players must be female and must have a high school graduation year of 2021 through 2025. Our camps are very organized, think of each field as its own individual camp, once you are assigned to a field, you stay on that field.

Listed below are programs that have committed to participate in our camps, go to the individual registration page to see which programs will attend that camp.

Our camps are associated with Premier Girls Fastpitch and Surf City Tourneys only. Our camp times will not conflict with games that are associated with these events only. We have no control of games times of any other events in the Southern California area during the same period.

Colleges listed are subject to change based on circumstances beyond the control of PGF Camps.

To All College Coaches attending PGF Nationals

We want to welcome you to the PGF Nationals of 2020, as you plan your week, we would like you to consider attending our Camp.  Tentative camp dates are…

The PGF National Championship Camp is run on Sunday, Aug. 2nd 2020 from 10:00am to 2:15pm at Harvard Park, 14701 Harvard Ave. Irvine CA. There are no games scheduled for that day (this is the day after the end of 16U and 18U and the day prior to the start of 14U & 12U).

The camps utilize multiple fields at the complex and we place no more than 30 players on each field (total of 210 players, with a grad year of 2021 through 2025, all are non-committed).

Each field is run independently of the other and is run by college coaches.

The camp schedule is broken down into the following...
First Hour- Defensive drills
Second Hour- Offensive drills (normally dual front toss)
Third Hour- Live games, no umps, no score, starting at 1-1 counts and fast paced.

Fourth Hour- Coaches change fields to conduct live games with a new group.

All players wear a colored numbered pinnie that ID's the player by year of graduation.

You are not required to check in in advance, when arriving, go the PGF Tent where we give you a detailed coaches book that has players listed by field, year, position(s) and numbered pinnie.

You will know most of the coaches running each field (we put 4 per field) so feel free to ask them to accommodate any request of putting a player on the field or position.
